enchanting

i'm sorry it's been forever since i posted! i was oblivious to the outside world since i was so focused on my 10 page paper and presentation for school. yuck! so glad that's done! and then after i finished that we trotted off to southern california for a weekend getaway, with a quick stopover in st. george. here's the low down of our trip:

on friday we hit disneyalnd and california adventure. i swear we walked about 50 miles this weekend! it was such a blast! my favorite rides were: california screamin', soaring over california, tower of terror, and indiana jones.

on saturday we went to six flags magic mountain. man, i love those rollercoasters! we started out with X, which shook my brain up too much, and then hit viper, scream, riddler's revenge, batman, goliath, and ended with my favorite new ride - tatsu - where you are actually flipped on your stomach and fly through the air like superman. it was incredible! that night we headed to santa monica, had dinner on 3rd avenue, and walked down to the pier. it was so romantic!

on sunday we headed to vegas to check out the 'bodies' exhibit. unfortunately for jon, he had a horrible kidney stone attack that morning and had to leave the exhibit 4 times to throw up, but nothing would come out. as we headed to st. george to meet up with sara and wade, jon threw up in mesquite and again as soon as we stopped for gas in st. george. i've never seen anyone in so much pain! he was dry heaving so much that he broke the blood vessels around his eyes and looked like he had been in a fight. so we took him to the instacare in st. george and got a perscription for some nausea medication. we had hoped we would make it home that night, but the motion of the car was too much for jon's nausea so we stayed over at sara and wade's (a HUGE thanks to them for their hospitality!) and were able to leave the next morning.

it turned out to be quite an adventurous weekend and i'm so glad that jon is feeling better now. he's even had his motorcycle out in this nice warm weather! i'll post some pictures of our trip as soon as i get them from becky. i hope everyone is having a good week! :) and congrats to heather and samuel on your sealing in st. george! sorry we missed it!
