lake powell pics

i totally fell more in love with jon again this trip. he had so much fun driving the boat and was such a natural at it. he also tried wakeboarding and really enjoyed it this time, which i was really happy about. i love how his family looks to him for advice, leadership, and a good time. he did a great job researching and planning our trip. it was a total success! good job honey!

this was our sweet boat
the girls...me, nikki (she's pregnant and due in feb!), angie, and newly engaged becky (congrats!) on our water trampoline
jon helping me get the wakeboard on. that stupid life jacket was 3 sizes too big and almost strangled me! lifesaver my a**. on a happier note, i was able to get out and back IN the wake while boarding. probably doesn't sound like much to some of you, but it was huge for me. i've always been really scared to do it before, but i just let go of that fear and was able to do it! i was so excited that i threw the rope and planned on just sinking into the lake. unfortunately, the lake had other plans and swallowed me up - face first! causing a short black out and whiplash and achy muscles. but sometimes i'm tough. and i'm still really excited about getting back in the wake! i hope we buy a boat soon.
this cliff was just west of our campsite and gave us some much needed shade in the afternoons. we also did a little rappelling down it to. well, the boys and nikki did. i just took the pictures. we had a fabulous campsite! but i'm done camping down there. next time we go it will be on a houseboat for sure!

Nice, I knew these pictures were coming! That IS a big deal to get in and out of the wake, it scares the heck out of me too. And it always seems to hurt more when I wipe out on a wakeboard, so GOOD JOB ALY!!!
