oh i hate that!

jon and i have been joking about this all week so i thought i'd share. this is chelsea. she is all girl and already pretty dramatic for a 4 year old. last friday i picked her up and we had a lunch date with jon, then went shopping, and ran some errands. i was about to take her home when i called jen and could hear 2 year old aidan screaming in the background. so i decided to instead give jen a break and pick up the rest of the rollins clan and take them back to my house to jump on the tramp. after we had jumped for a while we came inside to make fruit smoothies and she wanted to watch a movie. i told her no because i had to take them home soon. then she fixed her eyes on the laptop and asked to go on barbie.com, which i said no again for the same reason.

she slumped over, folded her arms, and said "why won't you let me do what i want to?" to which i retorted with all of the fun things we had just done all day and reminded her if she couldn't be grateful for it then she couldn't come to my house because it made me sad to hear that. so she gave me the look of death and turned away. i gave it a few seconds, then she turned around and said "oh yeah, we're buddies. i forgot. we're buddies." so i smiled and gave her a big hug. then she said, and this is the best!!!, "oh i hate that! i hate that!" hate what? "satan! i hate it when he tells me to say those mean things!" i couldn't resist laughing out loud.
